- If we believe that all children have brilliance and the innate capacity to learn and thrive in a diverse, integrated setting,
- If we create platforms for students to lead and feel valued and affirmed by giving them voice, choice and ownership of their learning, and opportunities to collaborate, communicate, and solve real world problems,
- If we recognize the strengths of our educators, value their input, build their capacity to design and implement relevant, innovative, standards-based thematic curriculum, build their leadership skills and empower them to lead the learning of the community,
- If we support creating the conditions within schools to build capacity alongside partners and families

- We will establish a shared set of beliefs around student learning that will drive the collective work and create responsive, equitable learning communities grounded in high expectations for all
- Students will flourish and become empowered leaders and change agents beginning with their local communities
- Educators will be invested in the collective work, and as dynamic leaders, be prepared to recognize and address the changing needs of our magnet community
- NYC Magnet will be an integrated, coherent, and sustainable learning community
